Grow
Child measuring his height on wall. He is growing up so fast.

It’s not enough to be happy, successful, and healthy. Our children need to grow up with good deeds. They should grow up with good deeds to be from among those who go to heaven. Good deeds are a true witness to the stability of faith in the heart. We want our children to be from among those who please Allah.
Good people must be strong so they can have the ability to continue being good.

Teach Good Deeds

Be honest, trustworthy. Telling the truth is a good deed. Lying causes more lies and leads to hurting yourself and others.
Can apologize when needed. Admiting fault is the first step towards returning to doing good deeds again. Say sorry to improve yourself and stop being stuck in the mistake. Accept personal responsibility for actions.
Shares, takes turns, and can compromise. Divide what you have with someone else. Let someone else go first. Donate something to others. Sometimes, know you don’t need to have it your way. Making other people happy is a good deed.
Is caring, loyal, kind, and empathetic. Take care of someone or something. Stand up, help, and support others. Show you understand and listen to feelings. Put yourself in someone’s shoes. Focus on similarities rather than differences.
Works hard. Cooperate with others. Surround yourself with motivated people. Allah loves those who do Ihsan, doing something towards excellence.
Uses words to express needs, wants, and ideas. Say something that will bring out a smile. Encourage others. Persuade someone to do or continue to do something that is good. Offer distinction between right and wrong.

Teach Strength

Asks for help when needed. You are not weak if you need help. Ask for help to remain strong. Know what you need and don’t be weak to get it.
Tolerates differences in others. You don’t have to accept and adopt what other people do. Understand that difference is ok because Allah created everyone in their own special way. Infact, use these differences to balance out strengths and weaknesses.
Is a good listener. If we speak more than we listen, then we don’t get enough input. A strong person is strong through gaining knowledge.
Puts effort into making friends and keeping them. Strength increases in numbers. Together we can do more than doing something alone. Participate in discussions at home, at school, and with friends.
Has a good sense of humor. Improve your leadership and gather more followers. See the positive side in difficult situations in effect making people comfortable in what could be unpleasant or stressful moments.

To Each Their Own Deeds

Parents who bring babies into the world should teach right from wrong.
Allah put us in this life to do our individual tests.
We do not solve the test for children, because it isn’t written for us.
But the nice thing about being a family is if there are similar questions, if we think we can help, we can offer advice and support for guidance.
So parents need to make sure that their children can develop the strength to keep gaining good deeds as they grow up into adults.
Once children reach adulthood, they must learn to keep themselves strong and gain good deeds on their own.
